The terms that govern your use of EquiCheck™ — including your responsibilities, your content and how we handle anonymised community welfare data.
Last updated: September 2026
By accessing or using EquiCheck™ ("we", "us", "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform. These terms apply to all visitors, registered users and invited Yard Partners.
EquiCheck is a daily health, welfare and performance tracker that helps horse owners and yard teams build a clear, long-term record of a horse's well-being. The platform provides observational records, summaries and insights to support early detection of welfare concerns. EquiCheck is a record-keeping and monitoring tool and does not provide veterinary diagnosis or advice.
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate information, to use the platform lawfully, and to record entries honestly and to the best of your knowledge. You must not attempt to access another user's data, share your login, or misuse the invitation-only Yard Partner area.
You retain ownership of the check-in entries, observations and other content you submit to EquiCheck. You grant us a licence to use your content solely to operate, maintain and improve the platform for you and, where you have given permission, to feature approved feedback as a testimonial. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to record and share information about the horses in your care.
To advance equine welfare, we may combine and fully anonymise welfare data contributed through check-ins so that no individual horse or owner can be identified. This anonymised, aggregated data may be shared with or licensed to veterinary researchers, equine welfare bodies and industry partners. Anonymised data is no longer personal data and is used to support industry-wide welfare evidence, not to identify you.
You agree not to misuse the platform, including by submitting false or misleading records, attempting to disrupt the service, reverse-engineering or scraping data, or using EquiCheck for any unlawful or harmful purpose. We may suspend or terminate access where we believe these terms have been breached.
We work to keep EquiCheck available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may update, add or remove features, and may modify or discontinue parts of the platform with reasonable notice where possible. We are not liable for any loss arising from the unavailability of the service.
EquiCheck is provided to support your own record-keeping and monitoring. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the platform, and our total liability is limited to the amount you have paid us, if any. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
The platform may contain links to third-party articles, research and resources. We are not responsible for the content or accuracy of third-party material, and linking to it does not imply endorsement. Your use of third-party content is governed by the terms of those third parties.
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Where changes are significant, we will take reasonable steps to notify users. Continued use of EquiCheck after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
